Four of the five stories herein were written to their length in order to enter them in the Spring Writing Contest of the Chattanooga Writers Guild.  All four of those won awards.

These are all stand-alone stories, four are sci-fi and one is action. One of the things I most enjoy is creating a book cover for a story.  It seems to help me lock in on the characters and/or setting. I have recently subscribed to MidJourney, a site that uses an AI to interpret and generate images from written prompts. I have already used images generated by MidJourney as book cover elements including two stories in this collection (Never Trust A Snake and Vacation) as well as this collection’s cover. It is simply amazing this kind of technology can even exist.
